A lot had to happen in those 17 years to arrive at the third year in a row receiving this incredible accolade from . Namely, proudly building a model for regenerative hospitality that continues to lead the way in showcasing how tourism can benefit both people, place and the guest.

Hospitality is a people business and our project is run by the best people. We couldn't do it without our incredible team of locals who are passionate to showcase their home to our beautiful guests.

It was never meant to be finished! Nearly 20 years ago, our founders stood on the beach with a vision to create a property that works as hard to regenerate the land as it does to create transformative guest experiences. We like to say that Playa Viva has evolved like nature, from a turtle sanctuary and coconut grove to a turtle sanctuary, 20-acre permaculture farm, rewilded lands, and a hotel. From 5 rooms to 20, we love how these photos show that natural evolution and how the stewardship of this land has brought abundance in many forms to our pristine stretch of the Pacific.

Since tying the knot in an eco ceremony oceanside, Riley and Jadyn have welcomed a beautiful baby girl to their family. We cannot wait for them to return and see their family blossom for years to come.
