CLIMA PERFECTO 🌤️

If there’s one thing we love the most about Cerritos, it has to be the incredible temperatures we enjoy year-round! 🙌🏽

From November to June, we have relatively stable weather patterns, with most days hovering in the 70s — and there’s always a breeze coming off of the Pacific Ocean felt here at Camp Cerritos. July through October is our hotter months, when the humidity kicks up and storm season can ramp up. This is considered “low season” and most RV travel in the area has subsided until it’s cooled back off again. The rest of the Peninsula is even hotter, during these months as well, so the sweet spot for road-tripping Baja is definitely that November to June window.

What else is there to love about Cerritos and the surrounding areas? PLENTY! It’s home to the only safe, swimmable and family-friendly beach in this area. It’s a great place to learn how to surf or hit the waves every morning for all levels. We have access to the freshest fruits and veggies, yoga classes daily, horseback riding on the beach, live music and more. Whether you want to chill and soak up the desert air, or find something to do every night, this area has you covered!

Yeah, we have great amenities like full hookups, clean restrooms, beautiful common areas and cooking spaces, high-speed WiFi and an incredible outdoor shower — but that’s not what sets Camp Cerritos apart. It’s the people! 💁🏼‍♀️

HAPPY EARTH DAY! 🌎

Today we are so grateful for this beautiful planet of ours, especially this little slice of heaven called Cerritos. We share this place with many creatures who called this their habitat first. From cardinals to canaries, coyotes to jack rabbits, butterflies to lizards, frogs and spiders (our road is actually called Aranas Ranas!), living among this incredible wild world is quite possibly the biggest perk of being here. Right now, the cacti flowers are in bloom, and the baby birds are hatching and taking their first flights! 🦋🐥🦎🌵🌼

When we built Camp Cerritos, it was important to us to maintain as much of the original terrain as possible, including all of the cacti and torotes. We recycle all of our gray water, as well as glass, cans and plastic. A little goes a long way here, and it’s the least we can do to keep Baja beautiful. This place is too special not to.

Wherever you are, we hope you’re able to take a moment to appreciate (and protect) Mother Earth and all of the tremendous gifts she has to offer. 🙏🏼✨
