Villa Verde Merida update and gratitude to our fans, guests, friends and most importantly- our wonderful employees. As most of you know, we have sold Villa Verde and are now living in a rental house until the new house is available in early May. Saying goodbye to our fabulous crew was emotional on both sides. The good news is that they are hired by the new owners, except for our Dalia who is continuing to work for us at the new house. The rest of the crew will continue to do part time projects for us outside of their hotel job. They are all “family” and we will not lose touch.
The new owners have closed through mid to late summer while renovating and adding additional sleeping rooms. Our staff will be helping them to maintain the property during the mess of renovation. The new name of the hotel will be “Casa Decu Downtown”. We hope you embrace them as you did us.
On a personal life note, the pets are not happy with the move (yet) and miss the attention from the staff/ employees.
Thank you to all of you that made our seasons and events so wonderful. It is a new chapter for us in this 8th season– but filled with an appreciation for all of you! Much love from Michael and Robert.
Actualización de Villa Verde Mérida y agradecimiento a nuestros fanáticos, invitados, amigos y lo más importante: nuestros MARAVILLOSOS EMPLEADOS. Como la mayoría de ustedes saben, hemos vendido Villa Verde y ahora vivimos en una casa de alquiler hasta que la nueva esté disponible a principios de mayo. Decir adiós a nuestro fabuloso equipo fue emotivo en ambos lados. La buena noticia es que son contratados por los nuevos propietarios, a excepción de nuestra Dalia que continúa trabajando para nosotros en la nueva casa. El resto de la tripulación continuará haciendo proyectos a tiempo parcial para nosotros fuera de su trabajo en el hotel. Todos son "familiares" y no perderemos el contacto. Nos hicieron el éxito que hemos sido.
Los nuevos propietarios han cerrado el hotel desde mediados hasta fines del verano mientras renovaban y agregaban dormitorios adicionales. Nuestro personal los ayudará a mantener la propiedad durante el desastre de la renovación. El nuevo nombre del hotel será "Casa Decu Downtown". Esperamos que los aceptes como lo hiciste con nosotros.
En una nota de vida personal, las mascotas no están contentas con la mudanza (todavía) y extrañan la atención y la compañía del personal / empleados. También eran su familia.
Gracias a todos los que hicieron que nuestras temporadas y eventos fueran tan maravillosos. Es un nuevo capítulo para nosotros en esta octava temporada, ¡pero lleno de aprecio por todos ustedes! Mucho amor de Michael y Robert.
