Casa K’iin-Ha (Mayan for “Sun and Sea”) is a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom single family home located on 24 meters (almost 80 feet) of secluded white sandy beach just 15 minutes north of Mahahual, Mexico. Under new ownership in 2019, this home has a 5-star rental history with the former owners and we have just reduced rates to build our new client base! Situated on a calm, shallow bay, with a protective reef only 100 yards offshore, the 2-story 2200 square-foot home is ideal for families and friends who love snorkeling, diving, fishing, sand castle building, or simply soaking up the sun. The beach is a mix of soft sand, tiny shells, and low-growing turtle grass. With a location like this you may never want to leave!
Bring your family or small group of friends and enjoy all that Casa K’iin-Ha has to offer. No rushing to claim the best room here - they all have amazing views! Six people can sleep comfortably in the bedrooms and a full size futon in the living room can accommodate two more people. From the king bedroom upstairs, slide open the large glass doors and step outside onto a deck that spans the entire width of the house. Grab your coffee and enjoy a spectacular sunrise over the Caribbean! In the queen bedroom downstairs you have direct access to the beachside patio and ocean just beyond it. Even the twin bedroom has a private deck overlooking the jungle and a lagoon. And be sure to check out the rooftop observation area with 360-degree views of the Caribbean ocean and the jungle.
Casa K'iin-Ha operates on environmentally friendly systems - cisterns capture rainwater and the steady breeze off the ocean along with high ceilings and ceiling fans allow for a comfortable indoor temperature year-round. A high tech reverse osmosis water filtration system provides purified drinking water throughout the house directly from all the taps - practically unheard of in this part of Mexico! And unlike most of the beach homes in this quiet area, Casa K’iin-Ha is connected to the electrical grid so electrical service is predictable and constant. A washer and dryer are located in the second floor bathroom. No more hand washing your clothes while on vacation!
