Impromptu Dive Trip – Banco Chinchorro & Mahahual

I'm thinking about hosting a small dive week for friends in Mahahual, Mexico, staying at Casa Rana in the Las Casitas neighborhood.
This is not a commercial trip, just a small group of divers getting together for incredible diving on the Mahahual reefs and Banco Chinchorro.
Maximum 6 divers.
Casa Rana Rooms (7 nights)
First come, first claimed.
• Deluxe King Room – 9,000 MXN (~$530)
• Queen Room – 7,000 MXN (~$415)

• Twin Room (2 beds) – 7,000 MXN (~$415)
This is our home, not a hotel, but very comfortable with great internet, TVs in every room, and restaurants about 65 feet away.
Diving Options
3-Day Package
• 2 days coastal diving (2 dives/day)
• 1 day Banco Chinchorro (3 dives)
7 dives total – 7,250 MXN (~$425)
4-Day Package
• 2 days coastal diving
• 2 days Banco Chinchorro
10 dives total – 11,500 MXN (~$675)
Nitrox optional: 200 MXN per tank
Optional Cultural Day
Possible day trip to:
• Chacchoben Mayan Ruins
• Carnitas brunch
• Pontoon ride on Laguna de Siete Colores
• Quesabirria tacos before heading back

Mahahual is very affordable.
Typical estimate: ~600 MXN/day (~$35)
Getting There
Tulum (TQO) – about 2 hr 15 min drive
Cancun (CUN) – about 5 hr drive but often cheaper flights
