A City in Bloom
Spring is when jacarandas soften the streets in purple, Primaveras bloom yellow and bougainvillea spills over white colonial walls.
The sky feels impossibly blue.
The gardens around Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzmán are especially beautiful this time of year — bright, fragrant, and less crowded than high season.
It’s also a wonderful moment to visit the Jardín Etnobotánico de Oaxaca, where many native plants are thriving before the summer rains begin.
