Turtle season is here! 🐢
A Sea of Hope✨
Starting next month, at Hotel Esencia, our commitment to conservation takes center stage. Between May and October, Hawksbill, Green, and Loggerhead sea turtles return to nest on the beaches of Xpu Há. To protect these fragile lives, we’ve built a dedicated turtle camp with over 100 safeguarded nests, reinforced against predators and storms, where hatchlings are carefully monitored before embarking on their first journey to the sea.
Guests are invited to witness this ancient ritual, standing barefoot on the sand under dimmed lanterns, learning about the turtles’ resilience and the delicate balance of nature. It’s a transformative experience that connects visitors to the environment and inspires lasting awareness.
