OUR TEAM is a mix of people from all over the world with different backgrounds, different languages and a lot of Hostal and Service Experience. Alice and Manuel (Mani), the basic Team of bonobo know every corner of Puerto Escondido and are happy to give you some insider tips and to let you know where to find the best "Tlayuda" you ever had.
The most BEAUTIFUL BEACHES are just a few minutes away, we love to show you around, Coral is the best beach we ever saw and not many people know it. Enjoy the little Shops and delicious restaurants down the Boulevard and get a coconut milk ice-cream at "Palma Negra".
"La Rinconada" is the nice corner of Puerto. Here people go running at 6am and you see the surfers walking down to Carrizalillo Beach at the first sunrise.
The main tourist areas like ZICATELA (the famous beach break and the nightlife area) is 7 minutes away and to "la Punta", the "hippie corner" of puerto with the amazing left hander wave, it takes you 12 minutes in cab.
You can also move around in bicycle or the very cheap collectives. From the hostel it´s a 5 minutes walk to the next colectivo.

Carrizalillo our backyard beach is the perfect beach to learn, specially in the sommer months it´s a very fun and smooth wave and invites for long rides over turquoise water. You want to learn SPANISH? We will LOVE to chat with you in spanish all day long and help you to practice in your daily life at bonobo. And - we offer spanish classes with a local woman from Puerto Escondido. Almendra is native spanish spoken and has a lot of years of experience in teaching spanish. You can book a group class or an individual class with her.
