Villa Amistad

Hi Everyone,

First and foremost — we are safe, and we are grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of messages from friends, family, and so many of our past and future guests. It genuinely means the world.

I want to give you an honest picture of what happened here on the ground. The media coverage was, frankly, far more alarming than the reality. There was significant smoke, some vehicles were set on fire to block roads and restrict movement, and some businesses were affected — but no one was harmed, and at no point did I personally feel unsafe.

Yesterday, we leaned into what Villa Amistad does best: we gathered everyone together, fired up the BBQ, poured some drinks, and had a genuinely wonderful evening. The Puerto Vallarta I know showed up; resilient, warm, and unshaken.

Today, the city is coming back to life. Shops are reopening, transportation is running again, and our guests are out exploring, hitting the beach, and getting groceries. It feels like PV again.

For those who may be concerned about upcoming trips, we expect things to be fully back to normal by the end of the week, and we're here to answer any questions you might have.

It takes a great team dedicated to hospitality, working hard on the details, and creating an incredible guest experience. Thank you to my guys for helping us to gain recognition on Airbnb for excellence on Guest Experience. This is no small feat. Out of over 8 million listings worldwide, only about 2.1 million listings qualify and obtain the ranking of top 25%, only about 299,000 listings qualify to achieve top 10% and just a small 254,000 will make it to top 5%!

Villa Amistad has 7 listings on Airbnb. All are ranked Guest Favorites worldwide!
Two are ranked top 25%!
Three are ranked top 10%
Two are ranked top 5%!!!!!

The achievement has been the hard work of all the staff present and past. And we have maintained Super Host status since our first evaluation! Thank you to John, Luis, Miguel, Jonathan, Zeferino, Carlos, Val, and Itzel!!!

We have the best team at Villa Amistad. Two more of our listings reached Gold Guest Favorite status on Airbnb! Jonathan's Lugar in the top 5% worldwide! Miguel's Mirador and Las Brisas now ranked in the top 10% of listings worldwide! And our remaining 4 listings ranked top 25% worldwide on Airbnb!!! Shoutout to Jonathan, Luis, Miguel, and John. You guys are amazing!

While all of our listings on Airbnb have been ranked in the top 25% for guest favorite out of over 7 million listings, Jonathan's Lugar, just got ranked in the top 5% worldwide according to guest's experience!!! My guys, Luis, Jonathan, Miguel and John have been incredible and go out of their way to provide a clean, welcoming stay. I'm so proud of them!

Our listings at Villa Amistad on Airbnb received "Guest Favorite" ,ranking them as most liked by guests in the world. In the top 2 million out of over 7 million!!! BUT, better yet, our apartment in the Villa, Jonathan's Lugar, just ranked GOLD GUEST FAVORITE!!! Ranked top 10% of Airbnbs in the world!!! My team is amazing!! Thank you to all of my guys for fantastic team work!!!

We are all excited for the 2024 season at Villa Amistad. We decided to update our photos and add Zeferino, our newest member of the team. He will be one of our housemen and our Head Gardener!

Super Excited that our listings on Airbnb for Villa Amistad have been awarded "Guest Favorite." Airbnb states they have 7 million listings worldwide and only the top 2 million get this recognition! Thanks to my staff and friends for all their help!

Had a wonderful Christmas party/Posada with the Villa Amistad crew. Miguel will fly in on the 15th and we will celebrate some more then!
