❤️ The best family vacations aren't measured in miles traveled… but in moments together.

Recently, Casa Agua Azul became the meeting place for something very special: three generations of one family 👵👴👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Grandparents, their children, and their grandchildren came to Puerto Morelos with one simple goal—to finally spend real time together. 🌴

And as you walk through the house, you can understand why they recommended it.
Three bedrooms gave each generation their own space to unwind. 🛏️
The kitchen and dining area became a place to gather, talk, and share meals. 🍽️
Outside, the private pool and garden gave everyone a place to slow down and simply enjoy being together. 💦

In honor of Mexico's National Firefighters Day on August 22, we had the privilege of showing our appreciation to the brave men and women of the Puerto Morelos Fire Department. 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒

With the generous support of our Abbey del Sol homeowners, we were able to organize and deliver gifts as a small way of saying THANK YOU for everything they do for our community. 🎁💙

To every firefighter who dedicates their time, courage, and heart to keeping Puerto Morelos safe: we see you, we appreciate you, and we're grateful for you.*🙏🚒

🎂🏍️ ATVs, zip lines, cenotes… and a birthday celebration? Count us in! 🎉
We escaped the office and headed to Cenote La Noria, along the famous Ruta de los Cenotes, for a day full of adventure, great food, and even better company. 🌴💦
We explored the jungle, enjoyed the zip lines, rode ATVs, cooled off in the cenote, and celebrated our team members with birthdays this month! ❤️

🚨 Donovan thought he was going to learn how to make tortillas… he didn't know he was about to join a Mexican cooking class! 😂🇲🇽
Lucy, Diana, and Fernanda showed him how to prepare handmade tortillas and turn them into delicious huaraches. 🌽👩‍🍳
Making tortillas by hand is a tradition deeply connected to Mexican culture and our relationship with corn. 🌽🇲🇽
And after all that hard work, there was only one thing left to do:
Eat! 😋
We gathered together as one team and shared a meal, lots of laughs, and a pretty special moment.
Because sometimes the best team-building activity isn't a meeting...
It's making food together. ❤️

🌮🥥 Skip the tourist traps… this is where you discover the real Puerto Morelos. 🇲🇽
Tiff and Donovan spent Sunday exploring the local tianguis in Colonia 23 de Enero—and we found some seriously delicious treasures! 👀✨

First stop: pozol de coco. 🥥 A refreshing take on a traditional southeastern Mexican drink with deep roots in corn-based cuisine.
Then we found one of Yucatán's culinary treasures: castacán. 🔥🐷
We couldn't resist taking some back to Abbey del Sol to share with the whole team. ❤️
And Tiff even found a beautiful Mexican hat at an incredible price! 👒
Sometimes the best travel memories aren't found in a resort.
They're found at a local market, around a shared meal, and in the people you meet along the way. 🌴💙

Today, on International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, we're proud to honor the incredible members of our Maintenance and Grounds Team, who come from Maya communities in Yucatán. 🌿✨
Their first language is Maya, a living language that has been passed down through generations. Many of our guests are surprised—and inspired—to hear them speaking it while they work.
Their culture, traditions, knowledge, and dedication are part of what makes Abbey del Sol so special.
