October & November: The weather is warm and beautiful. October is still quite hot, but by November, things cool down to a perfect 80°F (27°C) for a high. The sea is still warm enough for swimming and water sports.

Activities: Perfect for all outdoor activities—hiking, fishing, and boating are fantastic.

December - March: This is San Carlos's "winter" season, but it's very mild. Highs are typically in the 70s°F (21-26°C), and nights are cooler, in the 50s and 60s°F (10-16°C). It's a dry and sunny time of year.

Activities: This is prime time for golf, tennis, and relaxing on the beach. You can still enjoy the water, but it's a little cooler. Many local festivals and events happen during this period, including Carnaval and Semana Santa (Holy Week).

April - June: The heat begins to return. April and May are hot and dry, with temperatures rising into the 90s°F (32-37°C) in June. You will definitely feel the start of the summer.

Activities: It's still a great time to enjoy the water and beaches, as the sea temperature is very pleasant. Fishing and boating are popular, but you'll want to plan outdoor activities for the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat.

Here is a helpful tip! If you fly to San Diego from SLC, quick bus, Lyft or train ride to the Tijuana border (19 miles), walk across the border (it’s very easy to do), walk straight into the Tijuana airport and fly to Hermosillo. Then take a comfortable, air conditioned bus to Guaymas or San Carlos. It’s very inexpensive this way and it’s not as complicated as it sounds😊. Trust me, it’s worth it! San Carlos is a small, beautiful town that is very comfortable, safe, prettiest sunsets, uncrowded beaches and the best kite surfing in the world ten minutes from our house. Come visit!

Book all three separate apartments for friends and family or one for a romantic getaway and hang with Mark & Kam.

Main upper apt is 1 bedroom (king), 1.5 baths, has beautiful views of the Sea of Cortes and a large walk out terrace from main living and bedroom with BBQ, eating area and chairs, stylish fully equipped kitchen, laundry, roomy bath & shower, bidet, ocean views in bed, smart TV, reverse osmosis water filtration, laundry, private parking. Tip to arrive for low cost direct and arrive same day:
Fly to San Diego (cheap and direct), $100+
Uber to CBX border crossing ($50?)
CBX (Cross Border Express) walk catwalk to Tijuana Airport $20,
Allow up to 40 minutes at border if busy.
Fly from Tijuana to Hermosillo $100+ (several direct flights/day)
Bus from Hermosillo to Guaymas $20 (1.5 hours) or Uber/taxi
Taxi to property ($10) or we'll pick you up if we can.

There is a risk to missing a flight cause you won't have "through ticketing" so allow a good amount of time between flights to make it across border to TJ airport without stress.

So with the two flights, if $150 each and transfers of about $100, you're looking at about $400 per person to arrive there. This route has more moving parts but is about $300-400 cheaper than flying a "through ticket" to Hermosillo. And this way has lots of direct flights per day both to San Diego and to Hermosillo and is the faster option.
