Happy International Dog Day from the heart of Campeche. 🐾

In the Barrio de Guadalupe, you'll find La Esquina del Perro🐶
One of the city's most charming corners, where history, local legends, and a loyal four-legged friend come together.

This charming colonial spot is tied to a legendary tale passed down through generations. According to local tradition, Don Tristán de Villanueva's loyal dog, Marqués, gave his life while bravely protecting Tristán's daughter, Ofelia, from a demonic creature that appeared one fateful night. In honor of his courage and devotion, Don Tristán commissioned a sculpture of Marqués to be placed atop the family's rooftop, where his legacy still watches over the city.

Today and always, we celebrate the loyal companions who fill our lives with joy, devotion, and unforgettable moments.
