Come stay at our eco glamping site on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. Take a 300 yard stroll through the jungle to reach a quiet beach.

Cerrado permanentemente.

We are in the sleepy Mexican village of Lo de Marcos, Nayarit, Mexico.

Find nature to be fascinating especially when it blends with its surroundings so effectively.

A quiet moment at the plaza....
Live music, festivals, food vendors, clowns, and celebrations all happen here.
Just an 10 minute stroll from Jungletopia.

Don't you want to float along this pathway towards the sunset? This is what we plan to create on our land. Hopefully you can come visit us here next year! We know it is possible to create a garden just as dreamy, because this is at our friend's house, which is less than 100 yards away from our property.
When I lived in Colorado for the last 12 years, I would look at pictures like this in January and feel full of longing, and sometimes weepy. Perhaps you feel like that right now, longing for the tropics? I so understand! Do what it takes to get yourself here. You can make anything happen!
We have been dreaming about the type of garden we want to plant. It will be lush and full of medicinal herbs, fragrant flowers that attract hummingbirds and bees, fruit, vegetables and palms. With plenty of paths and nooks to read, drink your favorite beverage or do yoga. And of course, hammocks!
What do you think we should plant or build in our garden?

The Saturday market is the place to be to meet up with friends, make new ones, listen to music, and buy some organic greens, homemade bread, crafts and more! For a small market, there are quite a few vendors selling a wide variety of foods and wares in a relaxed and joyful setting.
I bought a loaf of gluten-free bread, based on the traditional recipe of the baker's grandma. If I had had more cash, a few other things tempted me: moringa powder (am Ayurvedic superfood), a stunning peacock hair slide for buns, raw chocolate vegan pie, locally made coconut oil, and colorful pottery.

First sunset back in Lo de Marco's, many many more to share over the next few months. 🏝🌅

After days of driving from bitter cold Colorado, we made it to the beach on our first night in Mexico! The Sea of Cortez was bright blue with gentle waves.
If you are driving this coast, consider the Totonaka RV Resort. It was a safe and comfy spot for my parents to park their RV for the night. Totonaka had some simple hotel rooms for us, as we are just in a car. 🚘
Tomorrow we will be in Lo de Marcos! We will be there for 4 months with the intention to finish designing Jungletopia and begin building our dream home, and your new favorite vacation rental. 😉

We believe in the power of love!
Speaking of love, I love this wall mural in Sayulita, which is a festive town about 20minutes south of Jungletopia and Lo de Marcos.

We are so excited to be neighbors with Sofora, which will be an eco yoga retreat, complete with a vegetarian cafe in the jungle. It will take only a couple of minutes to walk there along a garden path to enjoy different classes, events, and delicious retreats. The owner is wonderful and we are thrilled to be neighbors. Having Sofora nearby will help create a warm feeling of community and our guests will love it.

We are excited to attend the Glamping Summit USA conference and learn how to launch Jungletopia as gracefully as easily as possible. Our hope is to make new friends with fellow glamping rental owners, connect with great vendors, and learn how to manage & market our future glamping site.
Definitely seems like one of the many good signs that this glamping conference happens to be just an hour's drive from us. We don't have to fly, rent a car or hotel to attend it. Since the moment we first arrived in Lo de Maros, we have received so much support and help on so many levels to create Jungletopia.

I am dreaming of the blue ocean and the blue sky down south in Lo de Marcos, just a few minutes walk from our future site of Jungletopia.
Here in Colorado, the leaves are turning yellow and snow is forecasted for this Thursday. Though fall is stunning here in Colorado, I am a tropical mermaid at heart and can't wait to be at Playa Lo de Marcos again soooon.
(I took this video last February on the beach in Lo de Marcos.)

Fresh cocos + beach = happiness
The beach in San Pancho is only a 12 min drive north of the future site for Jungletopia. We loved lounging on these chairs all day, eating delicious tacos, and swimming in the ocean.
You can also get fresh cocos on the beach in Lo de Marcos, which you can walk to through the magical jungle.

I love the sunset ritual we enjoy when we are in Lo de Marcos. Almost everyday, no matter what, we walk to the beach to watch the sun dip slowly behind the horizon and light up the sky.
