The Tailwind jungle lodge, retreat center and adventure tour company is located on the Mexican Pacific, just outside the town of San Pancho, Nayarit.

Founded in 2007 by the Jacobi Family, the Tailwind jungle lodge is excited to have you! Enjoy 5 acres of dense jungle dropping steeply to secluded white sand beaches. Bungalows, palapas and casitas are perched amidst the palms, offer a tree-house like feel. The Tailwind Jungle lodge hosts yoga retreats, families, honeymooners and other adventureres looking for a unique natural experience. Yoga amidst the palms are magical. We have a secret for you... November is an epic month here in the jungle of San Pancho, Mexico!! 🇲🇽💚

The summer rains have worked their magic. The jungle is radiant green, the ocean is deliciously warm, the humidity drops, and clear blue skies bring tropical bliss. It’s also one of those sweet little windows of time that the locals really love. Restaurants are reopening, the farmers market returns, friends reconnect, and the whole community feels rested and recharged. And yet... it’s still muy tranquilo. Holiday travelers haven’t arrived. The surf breaks are less crowded. Life moves at a mañana pace.

There’s a feeling of gratitude in the air…for the rains, the jungle bursting back to life, this beautiful community, and the beginning of another season together 🙏

We reopen the Tailwind Jungle Lodge on October 27! If November’s gray skies in the north have you daydreaming about jungle greens and warm Pacific water, our family would love to welcome you. Nos vemos pronto! 💚

As the summer rains nourish the Mexican Pacific, we’re daydreaming about the jungle...💚

The summer season is when the Tailwind Jungle Lodge rests, the jungle grows wild and vibrant, and Mother Nature quietly prepares for another beautiful season ahead. We’ll be counting down the days until we reopen at the end of October for our 21st season!

In the meantime, we’ve been returning to this beautiful sound healing recording by our friend and retreat leader, Leah Cavazzini .luce.sound . Recorded in our open-air yoga palapa in May, embraced by the sounds of the jungle, it’s a little reminder that natural peace is never too far away. Wherever you are in the world, may this jungle sound journey bring you a moment of peace, balance, health, and connection. Thank you, .luce.sound for sharing this beautiful gift with all of us. 🙏

We wandered over to the yoga palapa with a long to-do list: palapa repairs, caring for the wood, preparing for the rain, all the little tasks that come with jungle life. And somehow…we ended up taking a siesta instead 😴🤪. The jungle heat has a way of reminding us who’s really in charge around here. Mother Nature doesn’t seem too concerned about our project lists. Instead, she gently reminds us to slow down, breathe, and embrace the rhythm of rest and renewal.

Our lodge is now closed for the rainy season, and our family is migrating north with the birds for the summer months. But don’t worry — the jungle lives in our hearts wherever we go, and we’ll keep the inspiration flowing along the way! We’ll be back in October and already stoked for another season in this natural paradise!

At our yoga palapa last week, retreat leaders from Switzerland — who return year after year with beautiful groups — created this stunning nature mandala during their 2 week stay. 🌿

Rings of earth, sand, stones, seeds, flowers, shells. Simple, yet profound. Nature 💚.

This morning…my son opened our front door and found this amazing moth, wings spread out on the stone walkway-owl eyes! On my jungle hike I saw hearts in the leaves 🍃💚. Simple magic everywhere, you just have to look 👀.
