Since our opening in 2012, we have utilized sustainable practices throughout the eco-friendly hotel and continues to put a stronger emphasis on growing El Ganzo’s sustainability efforts regularly. In 2020 we began to expand efforts even further beginning with the certification process as B Corp and are now the first Mexican hotel certified as a B Corporation.

A legend born in a Puebla convent comes straight to your plate this month. As story has it, Augustinian nuns harvested fresh seasonal chiles, walnuts, and pomegranates to craft a dish displaying the green, white, and red of the Trigarante flag, celebrating Mexico’s independence and serving a feast fit for an emperor.

We’re keeping that legacy alive with our poblano chile stuffed with rich beef picadillo, fruits, and pine nuts, blanketed in a smooth walnut sauce, and topped with bright pomegranate seeds.

The wait is over, and the decision now belongs to our community. For THE WELL AT EL GANZO 2026, we searched for facilitators working from an integral, sensitive perspective, practices deeply rooted in body, ancestral wisdom, territory, and transformation.

Out of an extraordinary pool of applicants, five visionary proposals have emerged. From aquatic bodywork and archetypal dream work to somatic ecology, contemplative ritual, and land-based medicine, each finalist brings a practice designed to deepen how we inhabit ourselves and our surroundings. Beyond the hotel, the selected resident will also share their practice with our staff and the local community at La Playa | Centro Comunitario, continuing our commitment to accessible, shared wellbeing.
