We wanted this room to feel like a deep breath. A place to slow down, rest, connect, and maybe even leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived.

Nothing at Samay comes together by chance. Every little corner carries the love and creativity of the people who pass through here.

Hi! This is Miri and Sab 🤙🏽🫶🏼 Two years ago, we took over a little hostel in Cozumel from another couple who had started this beautiful project three years before us 🌱✨

What began as a small hostel has slowly become so much more. Along the way, it became so much more than a place to stay. It became a home filled with travelers who turned into friends, shared meals that lasted for hours, late-night conversations, laughter, tears, and all the little moments that make a place feel like home.

While Miri runs a dive school here on the island, and I run a surf school.. Between the two of us (and with the help of some incredible volunteers, AMAZING friends, our family and my partner Cam), we’ve been lucky enough to build a small community that we’re incredibly proud of 🧡

Casa Samay isn’t perfect, and we never wanted it to be. We just wanted to create a place where people could arrive as guests and leave feeling like they had a home and someone to count on in Cozumel.

If you’ve ever stayed with us, thank you for being part of this little story. 🤍 and if you plan on visiting, you’re very very welcome!
