Casa Xixim is a private ecoluxe beachfront villa located on tranquil Soliman Bay in Tulum. Xixim (pronounced "she-sheem") is the Mayan word for zero.

Fully staffed with concierge, private chef, housekeeping, and groundskeeper. We have been inspired by the abundant resources, lush flora and fauna, and beautiful landscape to aim for zero impact and a daily light footprint. The Mayan glyph for xixim/zero is a conch shell, which we used in our logo to construct the wings of the locally abundant and lighthearted butterfly. Casa Xixim is more than just a vacation home, we hope it represents a new best-in-breed example for construction in this special part of the world. This home is not suitable for late night partying and we don’t provide things like TVs in the bedrooms. Instead, we offer epic ocean views, charming sea life, breezy palm trees, a few books, a deck of cards, a movie library on the big screen, and an unbelievably amazing night sky. Casa Xixim is all about you reconnecting, rather than disconnecting. We also require guests to honor house rules that ensure we are good neighbors and good earthlings.

Part 2: If chairs were zodiac signs.

ARIES / The Sunset Terrace Hammock Chair: Simultaneously annoyed at everything but weepy at the beautiful sunset. Wants everyone to come up and watch it together.

TA**US / Acapulco String Chair: Patiently happy to be alone together while inching slightly closer. Aware of how good they look.

LEO / Pool Edge: Most comfortable at the center of fun and glowing from being so well loved.

SCORPIO / Stargazing L-lounger: Awaiting to ensnare exuberant stargazers in their irresistible lair.

SAGITTARIUS / Bar Stools: Personification of ever flowing abundance and generosity.

PISCES / Daybed: The perfect place to share secrets, come clean, or give a pep talk.

LIBRA / Beach Loungers: Ready on a whim. Will be tempted to go for a paddle, too. First let’s get cold drinks.

Garden Swing: 7/10
Quiet, breezy, but a little too remote so most people might miss it.

Pool Loungers: 9/10
Adjustable back & think cushions, and a nice little pillow for that something extra. A favorite of the sun lovers among us.

Mayan Chairs: 9/10
Ingenious, versatile & incredibly comfortable! Great spot to relax after adventure.

The Sofa: 10/10
A super comfy allstar. The best spot is the corner with your feet up. You can face the pool + breeze, or turn towards the screen for the perfect movie lounge experience.

The Beach: 10/10
Just plop down in the shallows and let the gentle waves wash your troubles away.

Rooftop Hammocks: 100/10
Epic, giggle inducing, cozy & magical.

Hammock Chair: 7/10
Perfect for laid back hangouts on a hot day. Might need a little hoist getting out of one after a cocktail though ;)

Beach Hammock: 100/10
Perfection. No notes.

Sunset Benches: 9/10
High marks for being a somewhat hidden, quiet, cozy nook.

Dining Table Benches: 8/10
Surprisingly comfortable! A mighty workhorse for group meals with a spot for everyone.
