Amuleto is a very small, exclusive, secure and unique luxury boutique hotel, featuring highly personalized service, in a relaxing and romantic ambiance. Our attention to detail is unsurpassed among all luxury hotels in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo and Mexico.
The famed fishing village of Zihuatanejo is located on Mexico’s southwestern Pacific Coast, known as the Costa Grande, about 240 km (150 miles) northwest of Acapulco. Just south of the modern tourist resort of Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo has kept its traditional, small town feel. Local artisans sell their goods in the main Mercado in the center of town and in quaint shops along the beachfront.
Multiple airlines serve Ixtapa Zihuatanejo International Airport (ZIH), a twenty-minute drive from the hotel. Non-stop flights are available from Los Angeles, Phoenix, Houston, Miami, Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, Calgary, Vancouver and multiple locations throughout Mexico. We are happy to arrange ground transportation to and from the airport.
Amuleto is located on a tropical hillside, 100 meters above sea level, affording stunning ocean views of the Pacific, the bay and the seaside town. Playa La Ropa is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the hotel or take a 3 minute cab ride to the beach for approximately $4 USD.
