WestJet, Air Canada, Alaska, United, and Aeromexico all fly to Zihuatanejo from Vancouver.
WestJet and air Canada is seasonal starting end of October.
Alaska stops in LA
United goes to Houston TX then Zihuatanejo
Aircanada and WestJet are direct from Vancouver and Calgary. WestJet has good connecting flights for the same day.
Use Google flights to search.
Off season United has a red eye I have taken many times that is decently priced. But some flights stop in San Francisco, Houston then Zihuatanejo( on Saturdays.)
Domestic flights from PV via CDMX are easy and reasonable.. The comfort Inn in PV is a good overnight airport Hotel I've been told.
