Rules and Policies:
We are happy to offer clean, comfortable shared spaces within the grounds and kindly request all guests do their part to keep public areas tidy…
We welcome well behaved children and pets providing you keep them under control at all times.
Whether on the grounds or on the beach, please pick up after your pets and deposit bagged waste in garbage bins outside the front gates.
There is an outdoor shower located at the top of the beach access stairway. Please rinse beach sand from shoes or feet upon return and keep the gate closed. (Use caution on the stairs)…
The shared bathrooms are cleaned daily and we appreciate your cooperation in maintaining these spaces as you find them. Please use mats to kick off sand before entering bathrooms.
The entire site is serviced with well water and septic tanks. Please be aware that nothing should be flushed down the toilet (unless you have eaten it 1st)… please use bins next to all toilets for tissue and hygiene products… This is standard practice and includes our RV guests if you are accessing our limited capacity tanks.
We are happy to offer a private area within each shared bathroom for our guests to take short showers. Both our water supply and tank capacity are limited and we must conserve the amount of flow going down the drains. As a shared space we request you consider other guests may be waiting to use the bathrooms.
(Use beach access shower for a longer rinse as it does not flow into the tank…)
All personal rubbish should be well contained and placed in the garbage bins outside the gate, or taken away with you when you leave. Please be aware of animals that will scavenge for smelly refuse and limit anything that will attract them… (directly across the alley there are chickens that greatly appreciate your kitchen scraps. Please feel free to toss them over the fence… food only!)
Check out time is 11:00 am and full payment should be settled the day before departure.
For Your Convenience:
community garbage pick up twice per week.
Water jugs 30 pesos. Pick one up next to the house beside the door. Please leave cash in the plastic case.
Please ask us about laundry options. Local services are available seasonally and/or we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Produce truck comes past the property several times a week during the early afternoon. Keep an eye open if you'd like an opportunity to shop from his truck.
Wifi : While we do not guarantee the service we are happy to allow access to our guests during their stay. (Limited service range)
Local Interests and Amenities:
Playa La Barrita offers many activities with warm water and sandy beach from December through May. Enjoy fishing, boogie boarding, or your favourite water sports directly in front of the property.
Head out for a morning walk along several km of mixed rock and sand beach or relax in a shady spot and watch the local pescadores bring in the catch of the day…
You'll find several family run restaurants lining the beachfront just steps away. Feast on fresh seafood and traditional local favourites while enjoying a refreshing cold beverage (open mid morning or lunchtime until approximately 5:30 pm daily)
There are a few restaurants on the main road above us that open at approximately 6:00 pm to offer dinner service.
Basic groceries and other items can be purchased at the small stores on the main road and you'll find “Mini Super La Gloria” just above our alley is very convenient for most common items.
The local combi bus from the main road or a 15 minute drive will get you into Petatlan for typical small town amenities, groceries and services.
