Each year during Chinese New Year, the public anticipates the state’s annual Chinese New Year event – the Penang Chinese New Year Celebration. This year's event is organised by the Penang Chinese Clan Council, focusing on two-way interactive and fun communications between the visitors and hosts of various performing stages within the designated enclave. 22 selected Chinese clan temples, houses and associations located within the heritage enclave will open their doors to showcase their traditional cultural heritage of real gem via various forms of programmes, such as workshops, singing, food presentations, skillful art performances and much more, promising a mega cultural showcase in the region.

There will be ten performing stages within the heritage enclave on top of the main central stage that will be located next to the Great Eastern premises on King Street.
