A recap of a rare evening as Jeff’s Cellar hosted International Wine & Food Society Ipoh for Angélus Wine Dinner.

The evening was opened by Mr Marc Groh, General Manager of The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat, together with Mr Andrew Soong, Wine Cellar Master of International Wine & Food Society, setting the tone for an intimate celebration of fine wine and thoughtful gastronomy.

Guided by Ms B**g Grelat, Export Director of Angélus, guests were taken through the story behind each pour — beautifully paired with a meticulous dinner prepared by Jeff’s Cellar culinary team.

MEET CHEF FAI

Chef Fai’s journey into the kitchen began with curiosity and a passion for recreating inspiring dishes, which soon evolved into a love for the craft and a chase of constant improvement.

Bread holds a special place for Chef Fai especially the Sourdough dish served at Jeff’s Cellar. Its versatility and the challenge of perfecting it keep him inspired. No two loaves are ever the same, making each bake a lesson in patience, precision, and consistency.

Chef Fai is often seen moving between stations, ensuring every detail comes together seamlessly. From refining dishes to supporting service, his passion lies as much in the process as in the final plate.
