Sonus Luminus: An Intimate Dialogue of Sound and Light.

As evening settles over the city, the heart of Else transforms. Under the architectural canopy of the skylight at Raw, we invite you join in an intimate, 360-degree theater where the boundaries between performer and guest dissolve.

A collaboration between pianist Hii Mei Lin and light artist Jun Ong: Experience atmospheric soundscapes of Hania Rani and Nils Frahm set in a mystic setting.

Suspended in space, a luminous grid mirrors the architecture of the grand piano, unfolding into a tesseract form beyond its physical body. As the piano sounds, light responds, tracing unseen pathways where time bends and overlaps. Together, sound and illumination bridge space, time, and the unknown.

Chicago-native Brandon Breaux () previewed his solo exhibition NEO RITUAL at SMTH on 12th December. A culmination of a month long residency at Working across a range of mediums, Breaux examines ritual through the art making practice by emphasizing the importance of building new rituals in life to support one’s growth.
His practice reflects the same sense of ease, intention, and cultural curiosity that defines Else.

We’re opening up just a few seats for a matcha introduction workshop at Else.
Led by PPP Collective, this is a gentle dive into matcha’s origins, textures, and tasting notes with three matcha varieties, desserts to pair, and tools to guide you.
