Beyond our doors, the same heart.

EQ Beyond, EQ's branded outside catering service, brought our flavours, care and hospitality to the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia at Sepang International Circuit.

Catering for the welcome barbecue dinner, all corporate suites and VVIP hospitality in the paddock, our teams helped bring people together over good food and a warm welcome throughout an unforgettable race weekend.

We are grateful to the Bahrain International Circuit team for the opportunity to work alongside them. Sharing in their preparations, welcoming their guests and playing a part in Formula 1’s return to Sepang was a privilege.

These are the occasions that give EQ Beyond its meaning: taking the hospitality at the heart of EQ to new places, and making every guest feel welcome.

EQ Beyond, EQ Kuala Lumpur’s branded outside catering service, was honoured to cater the welcome BBQ dinner hosted by Bahrain International Circuit at Sepang International Circuit yesterday, ahead of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.

Thank you to the Bahrain International Circuit team for entrusting us with your guests. It was a pleasure to bring our food, care and Malaysian hospitality to the start of an exciting race weekend.

Some stories are worth bringing out of the archives.

When Formula 1 first came to Malaysia in 1999, Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur was there from the very beginning.

Over the years, F1 became part of our story. Team flags filled our lobby, official posters from all 19 races were collected, and we welcomed some of motorsport’s most legendary names, including Michael Schumacher, whose signature remains part of our collection today.

With Formula 1 returning to Sepang, Malaysia this October, it felt like the right time to bring these memories out again.

A lot has changed since 1999. Hotel Equatorial became EQ Kuala Lumpur, but our connection to those early days of Formula 1 at Sepang International Circuit has stayed with us.
