Chinese people began migrating fr

om the mainland and gathered here seeking livelihood during late 19th century. Through sheer determination, their hard work bore fruits. Petaling Street had witnessed the contribution by the Chinese people to the development of Kuala Lumpur. The Hotel Cojoy building, which had proudly stood on Petaling Street for more than 84 years, was previously occupied by Wing Seng Company. In those early years, the owner operated the stationery shop on the ground floor, while the family and relatives lived above. More than 20 people could crowd in a unit. Sometimes, when fellow villagers from the mainland came, the owner would invite them to lodge here temporarily until they could find work. More often than not, a folding bed would suffice for nights of good sleep. Later, the stationery company moved. The building went through major renovation and became the hotel now. Hotel Cojoy inherited the old host's spirit of hospitality. Coupled with contemporary management, we provide guests with modern amenities and exemplary service. There are a vast variety of room choices. From bunk beds, intimate couple rooms to spacious family suites, all of which would make you feel like this is your home away from home.
