AVILLION HOTELS INTERNATIONAL INKS MOU TO MANAGE FIRST AVILLION HOTEL IN JOHOR
KUALA LUMPUR, 10 April 2018 – Avillion Hotels International Sdn Bhd (AHI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avillion Hotel Group Sdn Bhd (AHG) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bintang Kencana Sdn Bhd (Bintang Kencana), a company intending to build a hotel development in Bandar Baru Uda, Johor Bahru.
Avillion Hotel Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avillion Berhad (formerly known as Reliance Pacific Berhad), is engaged in the ownership and operation of hotels and have the required expertise, experience and capabilities in the various phases of hotel development and operations.
AHI will be given a fixed 10 years lease to operate and manage the new hotel. It will be consulting Bintang Kencana to ensure Construction Guidelines in respect of Hotel Space Configuration, Hotel Requirements and Design and Construction Materials used are met. Avillion will then operate and provide direct day-to-day management and operations of the planned 153-room hotel once it opens.
The MOU was signed at Bintang Kencana’s office in Seri Kembangan this morning by Avillion’s Executive Director, Yulina Baharuddin and Dato’ Hj. Ahmad Raziff Abu Bakar, the Executive Chairman of Bintang Kencana.
The exchange of the MOU documents ceremony between Avillion and Bintang Kencana was witnessed by Avillion’s Senior Management and representatives from Bintang Kencana.
“We are excited to sign the MOU and look forward to working closely with Bintang Kencana in this new project and hope to bring the Avillion Experience, the core philosophy of Avillion hospitality that sets it apart from its peers, to Johor,” said Yulina after the short ceremony.
This is yet another milestone for the group as it will be the first Avillion hotel in Johor and the sixth in its chain of Avillion-managed hotels.
