九份位於新北市瑞芳區，是昔日台灣的採金礦中心，環山面海，擁有變化多端的山海美景，為一座小小的山城，保有著純樸的舊日生活風貌，根據《台北縣誌》上的文獻資料顯示，在清朝初年的時候這裡的村落只住了9戶人家，因此每當外出到市集購物或是貨船來到時每樣東西都是要九份，後來九份便自然而然地成為這裡的地名；清朝光緒19年(西元1893年)在九份地區發現砂金，淘金與採金的人潮便逐漸湧入此地，但在金礦產業漸漸沒落之後，九份的輝煌時期便走向歷史；時至今日，由於觀光產業的興起，九份又恢復到以往的繁榮，在老街上處處是人聲鼎沸，忙碌的都市人在這裡找到一處可以放鬆心靈的地方。
