Can you spot the 3-finned sea turtle among the others? 💙🐢
This beautiful video was kindly shared by one of our guests during their recent visit to the waters of Redang Island, and we felt it was too special not to pass along.
During their snorkeling experience, they were fortunate enough to witness a truly meaningful encounter—spotting a sea turtle with only three fins. Despite its difference, it moved gracefully and strongly through the water, serving as a powerful reminder of resilience in the wild.
At this turtle point, sightings are quite common, and guests sometimes worry about accidentally kicking the turtles while snorkeling. A helpful tip: wear a life jacket even if you are a strong swimmer. It helps you stay buoyant, reduces unnecessary leg movement, and allows you to simply float and observe the turtles calmly with gentle hand movements.
A gentle reminder: please do not touch the sea turtles. Human contact can harm them by transferring bacteria, damaging their natural protective layer, and causing unnecessary stress that may affect their behavior.
We feel truly fortunate to share moments like these, where guests are able to experience such incredible marine life in its natural habitat. A sea turtle sanctuary is also located on a nearby island, just a short boat ride away, offering deeper insight into ongoing conservation efforts.
