From above, The Datai Langkawi reveals its remarkable setting between a 10-million-year-old rainforest and the Andaman Sea. Villas, pools, and pathways sit among the trees, with Datai Bay stretching out along the edge of the forest.

It is a view shared with some of the wildlife that calls this landscape home – birds crossing the canopy and, on occasion, dolphins moving through the waters of the bay.

Every path through our rainforest tells a story.

Led by our resident Naturalists, Journey Through the Forests begins at the mangrove boardwalk before winding into the heart of the virgin rainforest. As you venture deeper into this 10-million-year-old ecosystem, subtle sounds, fleeting movements and hidden details reveal the remarkable life woven throughout the forest.

The experience culminates at the Canopy Walk, suspended 15 metres above the forest floor. From here, the layered canopy stretches out before you, revealing the rainforest from a new vantage point – an opportunity to appreciate the intricate web of life that has flourished here for millions of years.
