𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭
It has come to our attention that certain defamatory allegations have been circulated online by individual(s) who had previously stayed at our hotel, accusing our group of companies of being a "scammer", "penipu", “骗子” or “大老千”.
We state, in the strongest possible terms, that these allegations are entirely false, baseless, and malicious.
For the record, the guest and family in question duly checked in at Sovotel Boutique Hotel @ Uptown 101 and made payment via debit card for the confirmed booking period of 27 July 2025 to 1 August 2025. The payment was processed successfully, and the booking was honoured in accordance with our standard terms and conditions, which clearly state that all confirmed payments are non-refundable once check-in has occurred.
The said individual subsequently came to our hotel on several occasions, causing disturbances by posting “live” recordings of our staff and other guests without consent. Furthermore, the individual also published inappropriate and defamatory content targeting our Management in what amounted to an attempt to blackmail and threaten our company. Police reports have been duly lodged regarding these incidents.
Any allegations suggesting that Sovotel has engaged in fraudulent, dishonest, or unlawful conduct are entirely unfounded and defamatory in nature.
We categorically deny all such accusations and take them very seriously. Our group of companies reserves all its legal rights and remedies, including (but not limited to) initiating civil and/or criminal proceedings against any individuals or parties who persist in publishing or disseminating defamatory or false content about our company.
We call upon the public to disregard these misleading allegations and to rely only on verified information issued directly by Sovotel.
We will not hesitate to protect our reputation and to take appropriate legal action to the fullest extent of the law.
