Have you ever encountered the master of camouflage?⛺️

While maintaining our coral structures, we were stumbled upon a Crocodile Flathead(Cymbacephalus beauforti).

Although related to Scorpionfishes, its crocodile shaped mouth with colourful highlights is a unique characteristic for this species. 🐊

We are lucky to have them residing on our housereef blending themselves to the colours of the rubble substrate and using the coral structures as cover to ambush small reef fishes. 🎣

Despite of seaturtles being common around our island, our coral reefs has been mainly decimated by fish bombing in the past.

Nevertheless, we organize boat trips to neighbouring islands where you can enjoy snorkeling over fields of corals surrounded by the most colourful fish and with almost guaranteed seaturtle sightings with our local guidance.
