What a journey! 💗
LaunchPad is more than a community outreach programme. It is a service-learning initiative that empowers students to create meaningful social impact, including raising awareness and taking action on issues such as period poverty, while working alongside the underprivileged communities
Over the past year, our student residents, Taylor’s University students, staff and partners came together to support the Orang Asli community of Kampung Serendah through sewing workshops, health check-ups, community engagement activities, and the production of over 2,000 reusable sanitary pads. More importantly, they worked hand in hand with Orang Asli mothers, sharing skills and building confidence for a more sustainable future.
Behind today’s showcase were countless hours of dedication. Late nights sewing, preparing the venue, cleaning the spaces, carrying supplies, solving last-minute challenges, and ensuring every guest felt welcomed. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, made a difference.
At Taylor’s Residence, we believe a residence is more than just a place to stay. Through initiatives like LaunchPad, students learn to serve with empathy, lead with purpose, and create positive change beyond the classroom.
This is what ESG means to us. It is about empowering communities, nurturing compassionate leaders, and building lasting partnerships that create meaningful impact.
