It is with great sadness that we share that Vertigo Lodge de Estuario was completely destroyed by Cyclone Gezani, which swept across Madagascar, crossed the Mozambique Channel, and made landfall in Tofo, Inhambane, Mozambique on the 13/14th February 2026.

We are profoundly thankful that we and our staff survived, and we remain deeply grateful for the kindness, encouragement, and continued support shown to us during this incredibly difficult chapter. Your messages, generosity, and love have carried us through our darkest days.

We hold tightly to hope and look forward to the day when we can once again welcome guests and friends back to this beautiful place we all cherish.
