EASTER SPECIAL UPDATE:

Sadly, we have been forced to withdraw this Easter special due to structural damages caused by the recent cyclone. We will unfortunately not be able to complete all the repairs in time for the Easter holidays. The continuing rains and winds making it difficult and possibly dangerous to push on with repairs. Watch this space as we will be back in full swing for mid year break as well as the whale watching season. 🐳

Good news! As a result of the uncertainty caused by the recent extreme weather we experienced, the booking deadline is now extended to the 20th of March 2026.

Moz T's Lodge, located in Barra, Inhambane, Mozambique is offering the following opportunity:
An Easter Holidays getaway in beautiful Mozambique at an eyewatering discount of 40% off our normal off-peak rates if you book 7 nights or more on or before 18h00, 20th of March, 2026, at our 2025 rates. Read that again: 40% discount on our 2025 off-peak rates for your 2026 Easter getaway!!!

We have 2 units up for grabs, namely:
Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit, which can accommodate 4 adults and 2 children. The normal off season rate is 4500 Mzn per night, the special rate is 2700 Mzn per night for the unit.
Our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit, which can accommodate 6 adults and 2 children. The normal off season rate is 6000 Mzn per night, the special rate is 3600 Mzn per night for the unit.
These two units have a verandah with a built-in braai, and a view towards the ocean. The bedrooms have air-conditioning, the kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, fridge/freezer, kettle and microwave.
Both units are equipped with a pre-paid electricity meter, please budget for your electricity use.

The lodge is strictly self-catering. We have a lovely pool for those who don't enjoy the sea water, and a deck area around the pool. We do have a small bar for that day that you decide you have had enough sea water.

There are many lovely restaurants and pubs around Barra and Tofo. Several operators offer various excursions in the estuary and also out to sea for those loving deep sea fishing. There are also dive centres in both Barra and Tofo.

We are located up a sand dune, about 700m from the beach. While 4x4 is not absolutely necessary, good ground clearance is a must.

It has a kitchenette, with gas hob, fridge/freezer, kettle and microwave and a sink. There is a bathroom ensuite. The air-con is on a pre-paid meter. The normal off season rate is 3000 Mzn per night, our special rate is 1800 Mzn per night for the room.

Contract workers seeking long-term rental, please take note!

We will have either a 2 bedroom or a 3 bedroom house available for long-term rental, from February 2026 in the Barra Beach area, Inhambane. Both units have 2 bathrooms, one of which is ensuite. Both have a verandah with braai and a view towards the ocean. Basic furnishings, including fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, gas stove/oven, beds and seats, tables and chairs. Crockery and cutlery, pots and pan. Please bring own bedding and towels. Water included. All bedrooms have air-conditioning. Electricity is pre-paid. Please provide and fill your own gas bottle, or pay 2500 meticals deposit, refundable upon departure and return of our bottle. Refilling the gas will still be for your account).

Rental:
13000 meticals per month for the 2 bedroom(sleeps 4) + 13000 deposit
19000 meticals per month for the 3 bedroom(sleeps 6) + 19000 deposit.

The usual T's and C's apply regarding conduct, noise and use of facilities etc.

Tired of the boring highveld winter weather? Wondering what to do with the kids during the long winter school holidays? Why not pop down to sunny Barra Beach, Inhambane, Mozambique?
Moz T's Lodge has 2 self-catering houses, namely:
A 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a verandah with a sea view and built-in braai. Can sleep 6, 4 adults and 2 children on "sleeper couches".
We also have a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a lovely big verandah also with a sea view and double built-in braai. This unit can accommodate 8, 6 adults and 2 children on "sleeper couches".
Both houses have a kitchen, with fridge/freezer, gas oven, microwave and kettle.
We have a lovely pool and deck with loungers and a big open entertainment area with a small bar. We are not beach front, but located up a sand dune about 750m from the beach. Whilst a 4x4 is not absolutely necessary, it is always the best when travelling in Moz. A vehicle with good ground clearance is a must.
There are many activities which guests can enjoy around Barra and Tofo: snorkeling in the estuary, day cruises, ocean safaris with the possibility of whale watching and dhow trips to islands and cultural villages. There are also many great restaurants and bars around.
Our rates are reasonable, our normal off peak rates are: 2 bedroom house @6500 meticals per night plus pre-paid electricity;
3 bedroom house @8000 meticals per night plus pre-paid electricity.

Our winter school holiday special is:
