We moved to Tofo Beach, Mozambique, in January 2014 leaving our lives in London behind to build our dream in this paradisiacal location. Set directly on the beach, overlooking the Indian Ocean, Tilak Lodge hopes to be one of your favourite places to stay. We are currently const
ructing 12 en suite rooms in 6 bungalows that all have private balconies. Three of these units will have optional interlinking rooms for families or friends who would like to stay together but still maintain their own private rooms. We are building two luxury dormitories for bigger groups and a beach bar restaurant with beautiful views of the pristine bay and the ocean. Our bar restaurant has direct access to the beach and we plan on creating a laid back atmosphere where you can enjoy your cold sunset drinks and also get good quality food at a reasonable price. Fresh seafood is in abundance here and the local cuisine is delicious so we plan to incorporate these aspects into our menu. Our bar restaurant will have sun decks on both sides to make the most of the spectacular sunrise and sunset views. For all you sun worshipers it means you can have the sun all day! For the adventurous out there we plan to help you organise all of your trips whether it be Scuba diving, island trips by dhow boat, fishing or visits to the beautiful historical town of Inhambane, 20 km away. We are currently scoping out the different companies and activities here so when we open we can confidently offer you the best service. We plan to arrange your transfers and try and make your visit with us as stress free as possible – after all you are on holiday! Our aim is to provide you with clean, safe accommodation in a beautiful setting where our attention to detail and world travelling experiences will enable you to have a fantastic experience and want to come back and visit us again and again.
