We seriously cannot wait for the humpback whales to arrive in Tofo 🤍🐳

Every year, these gentle giants migrate thousands of kilometers from the icy waters of Antarctica to the warm Mozambican coast — and it’s one of the most magical seasons of all.

Humpback whales can grow up to 16 meters long and are famous for their hauntingly beautiful songs, which can travel incredible distances underwater. But honestly? Nothing compares to witnessing a mum and her calf together. 💙

Mamas come here to give birth and nurture their little ones in safer, warmer waters. The calves stay close, learning how to swim, breathe, and eventually breach like pros. Seeing that bond in the ocean is something that never gets old.

Whale season… we’re ready for you. 🌊✨

Not all magic in the ocean is measured in meters 🐠✨

Macro diving in Tofo, Mozambique reveals a different kind of magic beneath the surface. The mantas and whale sharks may steal the spotlight, but slowing down and looking closer uncovers an entirely different universe — one filled with intricate details, vibrant colors, and tiny creatures that are just as extraordinary as the giants.

Tiny nudibranchs dressed in neon. Shy shrimp tucked into coral cathedrals. Every rock, every patch of sand is alive with detail.

It’s a reminder that beauty isn’t always the big, dramatic moment. Sometimes it’s the inch-long creature you almost swam past. Sometimes it’s the quiet, the subtle, the intricate.

In Tofo, the wonder isn’t only in the giants — it’s in the details. 🌊💙

Pushing off the sand, timing the sets, and punching through the surf — this is how we start our dives in Tofo, Mozambique. No marina, no shortcuts. Just salt, teamwork, and a whole lot of ocean between us and what lies beneath.

This isn’t just getting to the dive site — it’s part of the adventure.

Refreshed space, better taste, rooted in the same strong values. 🌱🌊

Our onsite restaurant has always been guided by conscious choices, and this refresh simply brings them even more to life. We keep our carbon footprint low with a largely plant-based menu and carefully selected sustainable seafood. By choosing a vegetarian breakfast and lunch is already a beautiful step. Become a reducetarian with us ☺️

Our ingredients come from our own farm (machamba) and from local artisanal fishermen. By working this way, we avoid harmful practices like industrial-scale fishing, long lining, netting, and unwanted bycatch. We’ve also chosen not to serve certain seafood such as prawns, reef fish, or octopus, due to ethical concerns, reef destruction, and the high levels of bycatch they cause.

And our care for the planet goes beyond the plate. We don’t sell bottled water at all. Your drinking water can be refilled at the stations in the dive center and restaurant. If you bring your own reusable bottle, even better – refill anytime 💧♻️

We’ve refreshed our rooms for 2026 while keeping what matters most: simplicity, comfort, and that beautiful ocean view as your main entertainment 🌊

Every room includes:

• Kimonos to use

• Shampoo, conditioner & shower gel
• Drinking water
