Non-profit VilanCool Beach Resort and Kite School offers you unforgettable holidays, must-see kite spots and the feeling of helping the local community. This Fanpage is launched in favour of all people across the planet who are keen on getting unique travel experiences, are desperate for amazing natural escapes, who wanna learn more about the astonishing nature and people of Mozambique and who wil

l enjoy activities in paradise. Vilanculos (or local name: Vilankulo) has been growing extensively over the last decade, and has been the recipient of considerable inward investment into its tourism infrastructure. The gateway to the archipelago is the town of Vilanculos for Dhow (local fisher boat) travel between the town and the Bazaruto Archipelago. The town itself is only about 5 km long filled with all the amenities needed to make your visit comfortable yet local. It is home to a new international airport, which serves daily flights to several regional destinations, including Johannesburg, Maputo, Swaziland, and elsewhere. Vilankulo has an array of options when it comes to bars (barracas) and restaurants. If you prefer something a little more exclusive there is a wide variety of exquisite lodges to visit. Vilanculos with 40 thousand inhabitants is currently one of the emerging Tourist Spots in Africa since the last 3 years. Providing a new airport (opened 2011) with daily connections to Johannesburg and many more destinations where meanwhile 200´000 tourists arrive p.a. From Diving and Kiteboarding, from Wale Watching to Game Reserve Safaris and from Dhow Safaris to Watersports, Vilanculos is providing a wide range of activities for tourists.

VilanCool is a self-financed social project to provide local families education and employment. All revenues made are 100% re-invested into the project and support the workers and their families.
