This Fanpage is launched in favour of all people across the planet who are keen on getting unique travel experiences, are desperate for amazing natural escapes, who wanna learn more about the astonishing nature and people of Mozambique and who will enjoy activities in paradise. Vilanculos (or local name: Vilankulo) has been growing extensively over the last decade, and has been the recipient of considerable inward investment into its tourism infrastructure. The gateway to the archipelago is the town of Vilanculos for Dhow (local fisher boat) travel between the town and the Bazaruto Archipelago. The town itself is only about 5 km long filled with all the amenities needed to make your visit comfortable yet local. It is home to a new international airport, which serves daily flights to several regional destinations, including Johannesburg, Maputo, Swaziland, and elsewhere. Vilankulo has an array of options when it comes to bars (barracas) and restaurants. If you prefer something a little more exclusive there is a wide variety of exquisite lodges to visit. Providing a new airport (opened 2011) with daily connections to Johannesburg and many more destinations where meanwhile 200´000 tourists arrive p.a. From Diving and Kiteboarding including Kite Safaris, from Wale Watching to Game Reserve Trips and from Island Boat Trips to Watersports, Vilanculos is providing a wide range of activities for tourists.
