Kapika Waterfall Lodge

Kapika Waterfall Lodge Contact us for specials at [email protected] Kapika Waterfall Lodge is a stones throw away from the amazing Epupa Falls.

With it's scenically beautiful surroundings, Epupa is one of Namibia's prime tourist destinations. The falls are a series of cascades where the Kunene River drops a total of 60m over a distance of about 1,5km, dividing into a multitude of channels and forming a myriad of rock pools. It is possible to swim in these pools, but keep a look out for crocodiles !! With its richly-coloured walls, variety

of trees, including wild fig, baobab and waving Makalani palms, spectacular sunsets and perennially flowing waters, the Epupa area offers much to see, do and experience.

13th August 2020

As previously shared, Oppi Koppi Restcamp Kamanjab welcomed Owen with open arms and has since sponsored him for an additional night at their Restcamp.

While in Kamanjab, Owen has visited a local school to continue teaching to the learners the value of the ecosystem surrounding the Kunene River.

Hugo Landsberg of Kamanjab Spar has also helped Owen a great deal and made sure he doesn't need anything for the road ahead.

Unfortunately, the Khomas Region was put under lockdown yesterday afternoon until the 28th of August, which means Owen's road ahead is not clear. We have thus decided it best for Owen to return to Epupa for now where we will have the time to get the necessary permits if he decides to continue during the current lockdown or to plan his journey afterward.

But please stay tuned - we are far from giving up. In a time where Namibians are desperate for a ray of hope, we are not only amped to find that ray of hope, but to make our own if needs be.

And while in Kamanjab, inspector De Klerk has provided Owen with a letter that should guarantee him a save journey as he continues south towards Windhoek.

Thank you inspector!
