We have over thirty
different species of game to be found on our semi desert savannah. Set in the rugged Namibian wilderness lies a relative oasis of luxury. Built around
a waterhole this beautiful lodge offers a wide range of accommodation - we have
sleeping facilities for 54 guests in en suite self-catering units as well as en suite
rooms which offer a dinner, bed and breakfast service. Camping facilities are
also available on a beautiful, green lawn area.

Some stories begin with a journey. Others begin with a little lion named Safari.

We recently had the pleasure of meeting Peter From Germany during his journey through Namibia, travelling with his beloved lioness, named Safari. What started as a wonderful encounter has now become part of a beautifully written and photographed travel journal, “Safari, lionesses everywhere!”

And what a joy it was to discover that Lapa Lange Game Lodge also found its way into Safari’s story (his second time visiting Namibia) since 2024.

Peter’s photographs capture Namibia in such a special way, from our wildlife and landscapes to the little moments that make a journey unforgettable. His beautiful images of Lapa Lange reminded us once again how magical this place can be when seen through the eyes of a passionate traveller and photographer.

We are truly honoured that Lapa Lange and our little part i n Peter and Safari’s adventure could be included in their story. And yes… even a special mention of “the staff” and a memorable hugs made it into the pages.

Thank you, Peter, for sharing your journey, your photographs and your wonderful imagination with us.

Who knows where Safari will travel next?

Waterbucks (Kobus ellipsiprymnus) are known for staying close to rivers and waterholes, using water as their natural escape from predators. Their strong build, beautiful grey-brown coat, and iconic white rump ring make them one of the easiest antelopes to identify on safari.

Fun Fact:
That famous white ring on the back is believed to help herd members follow each other through tall grass and thick bush.

Safari tourists also joke that the waterbuck looks like it is wearing a white toilet seat 😂

A sighting of this magnificent creature is always a special moment at Lapa Lange Game Lodge.
