Conservation often happens behind the scenes.

At ONE Namibia, conservation is about more than protecting wildlife. It also means daily patrols, maintaining fences, keeping roads accessible and investing in the infrastructure our nature reserves depend on.

Three recent examples: At Waterberg, our team helped a giraffe out of the water canal. At the same time, work continues on upgrading our wildlife fencing and maintaining around 400 kilometres of farm and access roads across our properties.

Friday Fun with a serious heart 🦏❤️

Nobody knew about this place until you started tweeting about it…
And nobody will know how hard rhinos are fighting to stay on this planet unless we keep talking about them.

Poaching, the constant fight for survival,, all the procedures they need to go through means these incredible animals are under massive pressure every single day.

Rangers risk their lives, conservation teams work around the clock, and some caring human beings step up — all so rhinos can have a future.

So let’s use our voices (and our tweets 🐦) for something that matters.
Talk about them. Share their stories. Support the people protecting them. Help us to speak for them.

Because awareness is the first step to keeping these giants on Earth.

Another milestone for Zanna! 🦏💚

Yesterday we collected the second reprint of the English edition of Zanna – Rhino Protection in Practice!

The German edition is already in its second reprint as well, and it is truly incredible to see the impact this book has had. What started as a personal project to share the realities of rhino conservation has reached far more people than we ever imagined.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has bought, read, recommended, and shared the book. Your support helps spread awareness about rhino conservation and means more than we can express.

Thanks to a promotional campaign by Theo's Superspar, ONE Namibia received a number of footballs with our regular lodge supply orders.

Our Manager, Eben Kharuxab, suggested donating them to his former school, Kalkfeld Primary School, as well as Okakarara Primary School, where they will be put to good use by the learners.

They may only be footballs, but they're certainly more valuable at a school than sitting at a lodge 😉. We hope these footballs bring plenty of fun, teamwork and unforgettable matches.
