Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
Competently prepare traditional dishes and popular delicacies to the highest standards.
Develop signature dishes that will define our culinary identity.
Food Presentation:
Present meals in a visually appealing and professional manner, ensuring a premium dining experience.
Kitchen Operations Management:
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to hygiene standards.
Maintain a well-organized kitchen environment and manage stock effectively.
Independently and competently head the kitchen operations and ensuring our values are achieved.
Team Leadership:
Guide and mentor kitchen staff to meet operational standards and maintain a collaborative work environment.
Communication & Record Keeping:
Communicate effectively with the management team and other staff.
Keep accurate records of kitchen inventory, usage, and expenditures.
Personality Standards:
Demonstrate agility, adaptability, and a respectable appearance.
Consistently uphold the values and reputation of Lekota Hotel.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a chef/cook.
Expertise in preparing both traditional and modern dishes.
Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and multitasking abilities.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.
