Title: “Wait for It — It Will Surely Speak”
Scripture: Habakkuk 2:2-3
“Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:
though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
The Baby and the Teeth
Once upon a time in a small village, a young woman gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. The villagers came to celebrate. One man, in his excitement, asked, “Has he started eating solid food yet?”
The mother smiled and said, “He’s just a day old.”
Another asked, “Has he started walking?”
She laughed, “He just opened his eyes.”
Then came a curious, impatient woman who said, “Check his mouth — maybe he already has teeth!”
The mother looked at her in surprise. “Even if I wish he could chew meat now, I know it takes time. Teeth don't grow in a day.”
And so it is with the vision God has given you.
You may have birthed the idea.
You may have received the prophecy.
You may have written down the dream.
But it won’t grow teeth on the day it’s born.
There is a process of growth, just like that baby.
First, milk — then crawling — then walking — then speaking — and finally, chewing.
Too many people give up on their vision because it didn’t grow “teeth” instantly.
But the Bible says, “Though it tarries, wait for it.”
Visions have stages — and your job is not to rush God, but to nurture what He has given you.
Keep feeding it.
Keep praying over it.
Keep working on it.
Because one day — it will speak.
And when it speaks, it will not lie.
Your testimony will be loud.
Your success will be undeniable.
Your process will be proof that God never lies.
Just like that baby, your vision may not have teeth today. But don’t worry — it’s growing. And when the time is right, it will chew, it will speak, and the world will hear what God has been doing in the quiet.
Wait for it — it will surely speak!
