The good news is that you can change your perceptions by asking yourself questions. In doing so, you can disrupt your negative thinking process..... To get started, here are 3 questions that you can ask yourself :-
1. What good things did you experience today ?
2. How come things are working out for you ?
3. What can I learn from this situation ?

These questions will train your brain to look for the good in situations,; to find reason to celebrate, instead of reasons to worry & will help you grow...

Did you know that hugging yourself for 20 seconds or longer, is not only soothing, it :
🫂 It lowers the stress hormones ( cortisol ) , so lowers stress.
🫂 It also boosts the oxytocin hormone which is our " connection " hormone. Oxytocin is released when someone gives you a real, genuine, long hug , as happens when a mother breastfeeds her baby too.

So if you need a hug, because you feel you are starting to feel anxious / overwhelmed or even upset, remember to give yourself a hug that lasts longer than 20 secs. Then tell yourself, " This is stress. I'm safe. I'm not in danger. I've got me. " Repeat 2 to 3 times and feel the difference .

Tip: When hugging yourself ( with or without your eyes open ) you can sway gently side to side too.
