The Taraba State Entertainment Industry (TSEI) has expressed profound appreciation to the Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications to the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Hon. Emmanuel Bello, for attending the TSEI Celebrities All White Party and reaffirming the commitment of the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, to supporting the entertainment industry in the state.
Hon. Emmanuel Bello, who attended the colourful gathering of entertainers, industry stakeholders and well-wishers, brought a message of goodwill from the Governor and pledged the administration’s support for the entertainment industry.
He also conveyed the goodwill of the Director-General Campaign for the reelection of Dr Agbu Kefas, Hon. Danladi Baido Tijo, assuring entertainers that the industry remains an important partner in the development and political future of Taraba State.
In his remarks, Hon. Bello commended the entertainers for their creativity, energy and resilience, noting that the entertainment industry has a major role to play in giving Taraba a positive identity and providing opportunities for the state’s teeming young population.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Emmanuel Bello said his presence was a demonstration that the government recognises entertainers as important stakeholders in Taraba’s development.
"I am here on behalf of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, to celebrate with you and to assure you that this administration sees what you are doing."
"Entertainment is not just about music, comedy, dancing or events. It is an industry. It is business. It is culture, tourism and a powerful way of telling the Taraba story to the world."
"The Governor believes in the capacity of our young people, and the entertainment industry is one of the areas where our young people are showing tremendous talent. We will continue to engage with you and look for ways to support the industry."
He also extended the goodwill of Hon. Danladi Baido Tijo, DG Campaign, to the entertainment industry, describing entertainers as an important part of the social fabric of Taraba State.
"On behalf of the DG Campaign, Hon. Danladi Baido Tijo, I want to say that we appreciate you. We know the role you play in bringing people together, promoting our culture and giving young people a platform to express themselves."
"We are not here just to make promises. We are here to build relationships, listen to you and work together. Your industry deserves attention, and we will continue to advocate for the support you need."
Responding, the President of the Taraba State Entertainment Industry, Mr. Timothy Emmanuel Uloko, CNA, CCrFA (MC NETWORK), expressed deep appreciation to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Bello and Hon. Danladi Baido Tijo for identifying with the entertainment industry.
Mr. Uloko described Hon. Bello’s presence as a powerful demonstration of the administration’s willingness to engage directly with entertainers and understand their aspirations.
He said:
"We are extremely happy to have Hon. Emmanuel Bello here with us. His presence means a lot to the entire entertainment family because he did not just come as an individual; he came carrying the message and goodwill of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, and the DG Campaign, Hon. Danladi Baido Tijo."
"This is the kind of relationship we want between government and the entertainment industry. We want a government that listens to us, understands our challenges and sees our potential."
He added that the industry remains willing to work with the government to develop sustainable programmes that will empower young entertainers across Taraba.
Mr. Uloko further stated that the entertainment industry would continue to appreciate leaders who genuinely identify with the aspirations of young people.
"When a government recognises its entertainers, the entertainers will recognise and appreciate that government. We will stand with those who support our young people."
"We are not asking government to do everything for us. We are asking for partnership, opportunities, access and inclusion. With the right support, Taraba’s entertainment industry can become one of the strongest creative economies in the North-East."
The TSEI President also called on other political leaders, government officials, corporate organisations and well-meaning individuals to emulate the gesture of Hon. Emmanuel Bello by identifying with and investing in the state's entertainment industry.
The TSEI Celebrities All White Party, which was held on 25th July, 2026 brought together entertainers and stakeholders from across Taraba in an atmosphere of celebration, networking and unity.
