β€œWhich of your maize varieties is the best?”

This is one question we frequently receive.

The honest answer is simple β€” there is no single best option. It all depends on the farmer’s needs, ecology, and biotic and abiotic factors under consideration, as well as what they are trying to achieve.

At SeedCo, we have different maize varieties developed to match different farming conditions and preferences.

If you are in an area where rainfall is not reliable, then our drought-tolerant variety is what you should be looking at. They are built to stay productive even under tough weather conditions.

If your priority is early harvest, then our early-maturing varieties will suit you better, giving you a faster production cycle.

If your focus is maximum yield, then we have high-performing varieties that deliver well when good agronomic practices are in place.

We also understand that farming challenges are not the same everywhere. Some farmers are dealing with Striga infestation, others with poor soil fertility, and some with lodging due to strong winds. We have varieties specifically developed to handle these situations as well.

At SeedCo, we don’t believe in a β€œone best maize variety for everyone.” We believe in the right variety for the right farmer, in the right environment, for the right purpose. That is why we always take time to understand your farming conditions before making any recommendations.

So instead of asking, β€œWhich one is the best?” a better question would be: β€œWhich variety is right for my farm situation?”
If you want guidance, share your location and the challenges you are facing on your farm, and we will help you choose the right variety.

Striga, sometimes called witchw**d, is a parasitic w**d that attacks maize and other cereal crops such as sorghum and millet. THIS SMALL W**D IS ONE OF THE MOST DESTRUCTIVE W**DS IN AFRICAN AGRICULTURE.

This w**d does not just grow beside your maize. It goes underground and attaches itself to the ROOT of your maize plant and steals:
❌ Water
❌ Nutrients
❌ The food your maize produces by photosynthesis

The most dangerous thing? It is already damaging your maize before you can even see it above the ground! By the time it appears, your yield has already reduced.

SIGNS THAT STRIGA IS ON YOUR FARM:
πŸ‘‰ Maize plants are short and not growing well
πŸ‘‰ Leaves are turning yellow
πŸ‘‰ Cobs are small or not well filled
πŸ‘‰ Maize is drying up before harvest time
πŸ‘‰ Low yield no matter how hard you work

One single Striga plant can produce thousands of seeds that stay in your soil for many years! It is worse on poor soils, dry areas, and farms where maize is planted every year.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO FIGHT STRIGA:
βœ”οΈ Use fertilizer or organic manure to improve your soil
βœ”οΈ Rotate your crops β€” try cowpea or soybean
βœ”οΈ W**d your farm early before Striga produces seeds
βœ”οΈ Intercrop your maize with legumes
βœ”οΈ Plant SC 651 β€” A Striga-Tolerant Hybrid Maize Variety.
This is your most powerful weapon against Striga! SC 651 is a specially developed hybrid maize seed that is tolerant to Striga. This means that even if Striga is present on your farm, SC 651 can still grow strong and give you a good harvest.

If you do not control Striga, you can lose 50 to 80% of your maize harvest!

Do not let this w**d steal your harvest again this season!

πŸ“ž Call or WhatsApp us on 08039925236 to get your SC 651 seeds immediately.

Comment "YES" below if you want to know more about SC 651!
