JOB CATEGORIES, DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:
1. WAITER/WAITRESS
RESPONSIBILITIES Welcome customers when they arrive at the restaurant.
Greets customers and offers restaurant or cafe menus Introduce customers to the menu and announces daily or seasonal menu specials Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing Takes customers' orders for food and drink by writing them on a ticket, entering them into a notebook, or memorizing them Pass customer orders along to kitchen staff for preparation Prepare drinks and serves them to customers Collect food orders from the kitchen, verifies that they are correct, and serves them to customers Ensure that customers are satisfied with their meals and processes orders for additional courses if necessary Remove used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables Prepare cheque and delivers them to customers Process cash and credit card payments and returns change to customers if necessary Set tables with dishes, glasses, and flatware and refills condiments Maintain familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information

2. RECEPTIONIST
JOB SUMMARY:
The receptionist should be very friendly and enthusiastic hotel who will join our front desk team. The applicant will be responsible for running an efficient reception area, managing bookings and ensuring a pleasant and excellent customer service for our guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
° Greeting guests on arrival to the hotel and making them instantly feel welcomed;
° Processing check-ins and check-outs and processing payments;
° Taking bookings by phone, email or walk-ins and recording all details accordingly;
° Providing required advice and information to customers including explaining key facilities within the hotel;
° Helping guests with special requests, for example wake-up services and taxi bookings;
° Taking messages and passing them on to guests promptly
° Dealing with guest complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner;
° Liaising with housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are available for check-in.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum of National Diploma in Secretarial Studies or its equivalent;
2. Good writing and communication skills;
3. Smart and professional in appearance;

3. FRONT OFFICE SUPERVISOR
JOB SUMMARY
The front office supervisor responsibilities play a crucial role in the effective and smooth running of Horizon Hotel. The responsibilities mostly comprise managing the day to day operations of the Hotel by keeping in mind the goals (passion) of Horizon Hotel, which is our Customer's Comfort.
The job of the front office supervisor generally lasts for forty to forty five hours per week, and the office hours may get extended in case there is work pressure. The front office supervisor may need to work in night shifts as well.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To overview and ensure the smooth operation of all the activities of the front office;
2. To monitor and review the checklist of all the arrival and departures;
3. To give a warm welcome to all the guests especially the VIP's and to provide them with the best possible services;
4. To handle the booking and reservation duties and to resolve issues if there are any complaints, especially about the quality of services delivered by the staff members
5. To work as per the instructions given by the General Manager and to organize and coordinate all the front office duties;
6. To supervise the front office staff and to ensure that they adhere by the rules and regulations of the hotel and to make sure that discipline is followed by all the staff members.

4. PORTER
JOB SUMMARY
A hotel porter welcomes guests, carries their luggage to and from their room and arranges various services such as taxis and restaurant bookings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Carrying Guest's luggages;
2. Answering queries about the hotel and making reservations;
3. Arranging taxis and booking tickets;
4. Running errands, such as picking up dry cleaning;
6. Taking messages and giving directions;
7. Responding to safety and security issues.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCY Requirements
° Must be courteous to guests;
° Must have good communication skills;
° Good knowledge of Hotel operation documentation;
° Must have excellent interpersonal and people skills;

5. HOUSEKEEPER
JOB SUMMARY
A hotel housekeeper is responsible for ensuring rooms and other areas of a hotel are kept clean everyday. The Housekeeping job usually entails making beds, replacing used towels with new ones, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and ensuring new toiletries provided by the hotel are placed at appropriate places.
The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures;
* Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks;
* Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen area;
* Making beds and changing linens;
* Sweeping/vacuuming, polishing, and mopping hard floors;
* Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry;
* Ironing clothing items;
* Using any cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools;
* Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies;
* Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces;
* Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste;
* Washing blinds;
* Tidying up rooms;
* Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & PROFICIENCIES
* Knowledge of and experience in Cleaning and Sanitising rooms to varying levels to meet requirements;
* Willingness to learn new cleaning methods and how to use various pieces of equipment;
* Ability to adapt to different situations and change work processes to accommodate customer needs;
* Ability to take criticism, listening skills to make sure that they are meeting the needs of our clients for cleanliness and sanitation standards.
