What is perishable and non perishable foods?

1. Perishable are those foods that are likely to get spoil, decay or become unsafe to consume.

Examples of perishable foods are as follows

1. Meat
2. Poultry
3. Fish
4. Fresh vegetable( ugwu, efo, water leaf and okro)
5. Fresh pepper
6. Salad vegetables ( cabbage, lettuce, carrot,cucumber)
7. Rip plantain
8. Pap (ogi)
9. Iru ( locust bean)
10. Egg

2. Non perishable foods, are those foods that are not expected to get spoil under normal storage condition for a reasonably long.

Examples of non perishable foods are as follows

1. Rice

3. Gari ( yellow and white)

5. Plantain flour
