We invite you this July to practice separating your plastic at source. We all have an important responsibility to help reduce the plastic in our waste stream and protect our environment.

We hope through this campaign to speed up the adoption of separation at source by the population , reduce contamination of feedstock, develop a robust sorting infrastructure through state and private partnerships and provide the necessary feedstock for plastic recycling at scale

Thereby protecting our environment and keeping our cities clean

How can you help ? We ask you to use the bags provided by us to practice separation at source at home

Each packet comes with 5 clear bags enough for a months plastic

To participate let us know how many bags you will need for your community it could be your colleague’s at work , neighbors or group. They come with clear instructions

Happy , this year, if you live in Lagos city let’s join hands and change the existing reality by building a new system. So far we have successfully changed the way pet bottles are disposed of, can we do the same with soft plastic? With packaging? Labels , nylon bags , food containers, cosmetics holders, sachets, plastic cutlery etc? If you are part of a community, an office ,estate, block of flats, market, mall, we are looking for volunteers to help bring about behavioral change. The goal is simple, separation at source. The aim is powerful, stop plastic from ending up in landfills. We will provide clear plastic-bags free of charge for your community to participate in July. Win trips to the beach for community cleanup events, stays at Popbeachclub and much more. We go farther together. Together we can change the world!

Wethe day starts with an early morning walk from Tarkwa bay to ilashe beach at low tide we have a curated range of juice shorts to replenish the system stretching and yoga sessions as well as team sport’s swimming and tennis, with lunch and refreshments .you can make it a day or overnight trip and walk back the next day or get a boat back join us and give your fitness regime a boost

Mondays are for recovery e started the day with coffee followed by a cucumber salad and then brunch with consisted of a frittata for brunch using up the balance of the leeks the leaves added a layer of texture and flavor. We watched the management cut back the which has lost its flowers to the seasonal rains exposing the trees which should bloom and grow shortly we slept a lot and took walks to the beach to make use of the better internet connection and enjoy the views and fishermen I made a mental note to conclude my dream of going out in a fishing boat to set the nets (wearing a life jacket of course) for supper our produce had run out as i hadn’t planned on an extended trip we whipped up a coconut cream curry using the rest of the produce we bought and noodles on Tuesday our avocado was finally ripe and we made a spread with it to go with poached eggs and toast for breakfast I wish we had another day to island hope and go on a mangrove excursion. 5 day trip would’ve been best but it was time to rush back to the city 🥹

The way to eat an elephant is a mouthful at a time. Over the years we facilitated the removal of hdpe and pet bottles from the beach by scavengers showing them the way. With the help of the chemical conglomerate we were able to identify the chemical composition of the materials on the beach and are now tackling ghost nets. Data is king and we took a fact finding survey to estimate the amount of ghost nets available on the beach through this we can estimate the value and design an intervention which will educate the ecosystem to the opportunity and this will bring on board our silent partners the scavengers who will deliver our goals in a win win for all.
