How well do you know your state?
Let's take a tour down to IMO STATE of the SOUTH EASTERN Part of NIGERIA.

Imo is one of the states in the South East of Nigeria, located in the heart of Igboland. Its capital city is Owerri, the state’s largest city, and the state’s main economic stay is agriculture and commerce. It’s a bustling state with a lot to offer in culture, history and even business and investment opportunities. 1. It has a Zoological Garden

Owerri, the capital Imo State, is the home of the Nekede Botanical Garden, a well-tended area for displaying varieties of plants labelled with their botanical names. 4.The State Was Named After the Imo River

Imo State came into existence in 1976, after the Nigerian Civil War. It was originally part of the now defunct East Central State created in 1967 by General Yakubu Gowon. The state was created at Ngwoma named after the Imo River. After the state creation, part of it was later split off in 1991 as Abia State and another part became Ebonyi State.

5. It has One of the Biggest and Most Viable Oil Palm Plantations in West Africa

The Ada Palm Plantation Complex situated in Imo State, is believed to be the biggest and most viable oil palm plantations in West Africa. It is pertinent to note that the poor from all ethnic groups in Nigeria have everything in common and so is the rich.

Do not allow the agitation of an Ibo man who lives in UK or USA for Biafra cause the killing of the Ibo man in Adamawa. The rich hate us that much.
Do not allow the Alhaji whose children are living abroad to persuade you to go and start killing on the street of Kaduna.

The problem in the country is not the agitation of any ethnic group but the unity of the elite and the disunity of the masses.

How many times have you taken your agitation to question your local government Chairmen?

Why have you not asked your Governors through agitation how they spent bailout fund?

Why have you not agitated against that government official whose mansions you go to beg for help?

Sad to note;
All the Governors love themselves
All the past Presidents love themselves
All the senators love themselves
All the top government officials love themselves
All the looters love themselves

Why can't you and I love ourselves?
Why cant we combine efforts and fight them?
Why do we fight ourselves?
Why do we allow them the freedom we don't have?

Remember; a good Nigeria is better than a good Arewa, Oduduwa or Biafra. What are your thoughts?

An employee of Dangote Industries Limited, Istifanus Bello, has been killed by suspected kidnappers.
It was learnt that Bello’s co**se was found in a gutter in Ogun State, adding that one of the kidnappers alerted a member of the public to where the co**se was.
Bello was believed to have been kidnapped three weeks ago, but news of his murder got to his family members on Monday.
Sources close to the family said that Bello was the company’s Human Resources Manager before his death.
It was learnt that on the day that he was kidnapped, the manager had gone with a team to pay ransom for the release of some
expatriates who had been kidnapped.
It was also learnt that on getting there, the kidnappers collected the money and abducted him.
A close friend, who pleaded not to be named, said Bello showed him some video recordings of his negotiations with kidnappers.
Speaking to sympathisers who visited her on Monday, Bello’s wife of 20 years, Amina, said the husband was the best, adding that he was a friend and father to their children.
She said: “Bello was a lovely person; if he was not in the house one day, the children would be asking after him endlessly. Now I do not know what to tell the children because he was always chatting with them on the social media. When he was abducted, the children asked me to tell them where he was because all his activities on social media ceased and the children said it was unlike him.
“On the 20th anniversary of our wedding, he told me that I was the best woman, adding that I was the only one who understood him. He has never for one day hurt me; he always said if I was not happy, he would not be happy.”
A source in the Dangote Industries, who confirmed the kidnap, however, reacted to the news of Bello’s murder with surprise.
When contacted, the firm’s Head of Media, Tony Chiejina, who said Bello was very close to him, also reacted with surprise to the news of his death.
Chiejina said that he would make some calls and get back.
He had yet to do so as of press time.

My name is Adaeze Ogbuenyi

These are farm produce wasting in my home town , Aballa Uno in Ndokwa East LGA of Delta state. Thousands of people are going hungry in Nigeria but these produce can't get to them due to bad road.
This town is a major producer of cassava, yams and plantain. Fish etc.. I want to use this medium to appeal to the NDDC. Delta state government and the Federal government to come to the rescue. The contract for this road has been awarded to Interbau company years back but nothing has been done.

Please everyone, help me share this post till its gets to those in authority.

The Director-General of the Nigerian Hydrological Services Agency (NHSA), Moses Beckley, recently predicted an overflow of the Niger-Benue River Basins and other sub-basins, in the ongoing rainy season, stating that flooding is likely to affect states in the surrounding the basins. He made the prediction at the official presentation of the Annual Flood Outlook (AFO) in Abuja on July 25, 2016.

The states at the risk of flooding, according to NHSA, include Niger, Benue, Sokoto, Anambra, Imo, Kogi, Cross River, Yobe, Ogun, Kebbi and Osun. Others are Zamfara, Katsina, Kwara, Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, Plateau and Nasarawa. The rest are Rivers, Edo, Bayelsa, Delta, Lagos, Ondo, Akwa-Ibom, Ebonyi, Abia, Jigawa and Kano. The agency added that Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Bayelsa, Delta and Ondo particularly might experience coastal flooding due to rise in sea level and tidal surge. Already, states like Kano, Kebbi, Cross River, and Jigawa states have suffered from flooding this year.
