In December, 2014 the quest for growth and expansion came in, made the company to introduce beauty pageant (MISS UPU). The first Miss Upu (Ochanya ku’Upu) Miss Comfort Egah was crowned on the 25th December, 2014. Within her one year tenure, she donated teaching aids and educational sundries to Otukpo Community Secondary School, Upu and Okete Community Secondary School, Otukpo’icho respectively. Du
ring her one year in office, the company organized entrepreneurship training for the youth, empowered some of them that got trained on tailoring, also supplied some cooking items to some of the restaurants in the community as part of community development. In December, 25th 2015 Miss Serah Adakole became the second “Miss Upu” (Ochanya ku’Upu d 2nd). As part of her pet projects, the company has shortlisted some less privileged orphans for scholarship within the community. In order to also carry along the male youth in the community, “MR CORPORATE” was introduced and Onyilokwu Peter emerged as the winner on that same 25th December, 2015. He is now the current Mr. We normally carry out this project to encourage the youth in the community so as to avoid engaging in anti-social vices. Within the few years of operations, the company has helped in reduction of idleness, making the youth to be creative and innovative as a result of entrepreneurship training organised by the company. The company has decided to expand the scope of their operations there by covering the entire Otukpo Rural, now changed from “MISS UPU’’ to “MISS OTUKPO” 2016.
