A healthy community doesn't begin in a hospital- it begins with awareness, prevention, and a commitment to care for one another.

The Rotary Club of Trans Amadi carried out our Maternal and Child Health 13.0 & Hepatitis Zero Awareness Project at the Primary Health Centre, Nonwa, Tai Local Government Area, Rivers State.

Through maternal health support, child health education, nutrition advocacy, and hepatitis awareness, we empowered mothers, families, and community members with knowledge that can save lives and improve futures.

Every informed mother strengthens a family. Every healthy family strengthens a community. And every empowered community inspires generations.

We are grateful to our healthcare professionals, partners, volunteers, Rotarians, and the people of Nonwa Community for making this outreach a success.

Together, we are creating healthier communities, preventing disease, promoting wellness, and building hope for the future.

The Rotary Club of Trans Amadi is proud to invite you to our 2-in-1 community health outreach, dedicated to improving maternal and child health while promoting awareness and prevention of Hepatitis.

Together, we are creating healthier families and stronger communities through sustainable service.

What the project aims to achieve:

✅ Equip Primary Health Centres with Maternal & Delivery Kits.

What I Love Most About Rotary, and Why

What I love most about Rotary is the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives. In a world where it’s easy to talk about problems, Rotary brings together people who are willing to do something about them.

When I joined Rotary, I was attracted by the fellowship, but I stayed because of the impact. Seeing professionals from different backgrounds come together to serve without expecting anything in return is truly inspiring.

One thing that has touched me deeply is being part of projects that give hope to people who need it most. Our ongoing Free cataract surgery initiative, for example, reminds me that service can completely change someone’s life. Knowing that a person can regain their sight because Rotarians chose to care is something I’ll never take for granted.

Rotary has also changed me. It has taught me that leadership is about serving others and that even small acts of kindness can create lasting impact.

For me, Rotary is more than a club—it’s a family with a shared purpose. That’s why I’m proud to be a Rotarian, and it’s why I’ll continue to serve.
